A graphic novel on Emma Goldman

David Lester is working on a graphic novel about anarchist and feminist Emma Goldman. The book will have three story threads; one is the true story of the last year in the life of Emma Goldman, spent in Canada, where she died in Toronto in 1940. The second story follows Emma’s life as an activist over the course of fifty years. And finally, the third story thread follows the artist and writer creating this graphic novel and the tension between them as they present in words and images the life of Emma Goldman.
